DOG DOUGHNUTS

CATEGORY: MRS. ANDERSON

One year Bob and I drove back to Minneapolis to visit his family.  It was in March.  The snow that had been on the ground all winter had been melting.  Bob’ parents lived close to the city center in a big square house on a big square block.  There was a curb next to the street, and there was lawn with big street trees between the curb and the sidewalk.  While we were there the snow melted completely.  Around every tree on every block was a doughnut of dog poop.  It was the whole winter’s supply, and a sure indicator of where people walked their dogs.
