After two years of being with Bob on weekends and school breaks, we decided to get married.  We were married in The Pilot Butte Inn in Bend which was, at that time, closed.  The owners were a Mormon family with eight children who were then living in the Inn and hoping the Corporation, The University of Oregon and the City of Bend would do the magic thing to preserve it.  Because of my work, trying to save the Inn, the owners allowed us to use it for our wedding and even helped us clean it and decorate it.  The date was December 28^th, 1968, two years after the day we met.
